Responsible for carrying out the daily functions of the Order Routing & Execution Services team at a high-level. The position involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, across multiple business units, ensuring customer orders are routed and executed in a timely and efficient manner. The role focuses on leading by example while completing the daily ORES tasks with excellence, as well as enhancing the scalability, efficiency, and performance of the team’s processes and procedures.
What you'll do:
- Ensure daily trading operations functions are carried out timely and accurately, including Unrouteable, EMA, OAR, and Fix Message Review queues, team email inbox, order exception reports, business partner chat support, order entry, market destination open order recon, corporate action order cancellation, option security master, and other daily tasks.
- As a high-level subject matter expert, provide proactive support for teammates and business partners.
- Support the Team Leads in outage recovery and risk mitigation by swiftly identifying, diagnosing, researching, tracking, and resolving technical issues with market connectivity, trading systems, and/or back-office systems, collaborating with technology teams and other business partners as needed.
- Fortify strong relationships with market centers and internal business partners to improve our clients’ trading experience and increase operational efficiency.
- Act as a team advocate by sharing knowledge and being a go-to resource, while helping teammates internalize learnings and build confidence.
- Exercise independent decision-making ability and sound judgement to investigate and resolve order routing and execution related problems.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and scalability improvements.
- Collaborate with teammates and business partners to solve pain points and efficiency issues.
- Encourage others to have a voice in problem-solving.
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Equities and Options trading operations experience
- 5+ years total experience
- Series 7, Series 63, and Series 57(Required) – Series 57 may be acquired within 6 months of start of role.
- 4-year College Degree or related work experience.
- Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Series 24 and 4 are a plus
- Series 3 and 34 are a plus
- Strong collaborative skills and positive attitude.
- Excellent knowledge of the financial services industry and solid understanding of trading rules and regulations.
- Thorough understanding of equities and options market structure.
- Ability to quickly and efficiently adjust to changes in fast paced, stressful environment without losing focus.
- Strong communicator (written and verbal), able to effectively interact and coordinate with other departments and business units.
- Self-motivated and client driven.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills to scope and frame problems.
- Displays excellent judgment to propose effective, business driven solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to effectively educate and coach teammates and business partners.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
