You will collaborate closely with technical leads and Product Owners to implement new features, enhancements, and

solutions for the Portfolio Accounting Services team. This team is responsible for the systems and platforms that

provide critical portfolio data including Transaction History, Watchlist, PAL Account, Dividend Re-Investment, Income

Reporting and more to a range of teams and user-facing applications such as Schwab.com and mobile platforms. As a

key contributor, you will help uphold and extend the excellence of Schwab’s core digital platforms, delivering valuable

data and information to Schwab’s clients and advisors. Schwab is committed to advancing digital service and

excellence, and these teams play a pivotal role in developing and delivering industry-leading capabilities.

This opportunity will be part of a larger group called Cross Enterprise Services (CES) which is focused on delivering

consistent, enterprise quality and highly performant shared services for all of Schwab’s systems as building blocks for

outstanding end-user experiences. CES offers a wide range of technology opportunities for great people to grow and

demonstrate their skills.

• Establishing QA strategy and best practices to support continuous development and integration

• Developing, maintaining and executing automated test suites and reporting test results

• Gaining in-depth business knowledge to understand business needs and utilize the knowledge to identify

testing priorities based on scenario risk levels

• Holding and facilitating automation and test case reviews with Agile team members

• Ensuring that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related degree

• 5+ years of hands-on application programming and/or test automation/framework experience in an

Agile development environment

• 5+ years of experience testing applications (test case creation and execution)

• Experience with test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases,

and automating tests in C# with frameworks like BDD with Rocknroll/ JUnit/TestNG/NUnit, Selenium, Jmeter etc.

• Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum processes in planning, implementation and support of business

application components and services, including change & release management

• Experience working in CI/CD environment

• Experience with the Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)

• Client focused mindset- exceed the expectations of customers.

• Strong communicator with ability to interact with business partners and technology teams

• Experience developing or influencing the development of automated framework(s) for enterprise level

functional and regression testing is preferable

• Experience with testing web services, APIs, using tools like postman and backend infrastructure such as

messaging systems

• Experience with Splunk or other logging framework.

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where multiple objectives must be managed concurrently

Preferred Qualifications

▪ Experience with the Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)

▪ Financial Services experience is a strong plus

▪ Experience with SQL database like Oracle/Teradata.

▪ .Net, C#, or Java experience preferred

▪ Experience with a no-sql database preferred

▪ Thrive in a fast-paced environment where multiple objectives must be managed concurrently

▪ Conducts in-depth analysis, evaluates factors, and influences decisions with insights

▪ Ensures stakeholders has the necessary information for informed decisions

▪ Analyzes market dynamics, provides guidance to peers, and aligns work with business goals

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
