Join a team responsible for ensuring software quality and release readiness across critical applications. The Embedded Functional QA Engineer will work closely with development teams, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and business partners to validate requirements, test application functionality, identify risks, and support stable delivery.
This role is primarily focused on functional and embedded testing within the delivery team. The expectation is that the engineer will also increase automation coverage as part of daily testing work by identifying repeatable test scenarios, automating high-value regression coverage, and helping improve the team’s overall test efficiency.
The position provides opportunities to build deep application knowledge, strengthen functional testing practices, expand automation skills, and contribute to continuous improvement across the testing process.
•Perform embedded functional testing within the delivery team, including story validation, integration testing, regression testing, defect retesting, and release readiness support.
•Review business requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical changes to create clear, effective test plans and test cases.
•Identify, document, triage, and track defects while partnering with Application Development teams to drive timely resolution.
•Build and maintain a strong understanding of application workflows, system integrations, test data needs, and downstream impacts.
•Increase automation coverage by identifying repeatable manual tests that can be automated as part of day-to-day testing.
•Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for functional, regression, API, and integration coverage where appropriate.
•Partner with automation engineers, developers, and QA leads to improve test coverage, reduce manual regression effort, and strengthen release confidence.
•Develop test data strategies, identify testing risks, recommend mitigation plans, and raise quality concerns early.
•Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and technology teams to validate requirements and ensure testing aligns with business and technical expectations.
•Contribute to process improvements, testing standards, and automation best practices across the team.
