As a Trader Service Chat Specialist, you’ll utilize your growing trading expertise to champion our trader clients’ goals, working with clients as the subject matter expert in equities, and options. You’ll bring your passion for assisting others to phone and chat-based interactions, delivering on Schwab’s vision to be the most trusted trade desk on the street.
You’ll have the chance to deepen your trading and financial skillsets through training and mentorship, while working with an organization recognized as the best online broker for the last 10 years. What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required
- 2+ year of experience in Client Service, Financial Services and/or Brokerage Services
- Completion of Trader 2 Pathways material and Trader 2 Academy, or ability to complete in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications:
- Series 3 and series 9-10 preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Passion for trading and advanced market knowledge; ability to proactively discuss trading topics and solutions with clients including an understanding of options and equities
- A working knowledge of Schwab’s various trading platforms and ability to educate clients on those platforms
- Previous experience servicing active trader clients
- Strong written communication skills and ability to deepen client relationship through chat based interactions
- Previous experience in customer service, client support and problem resolution skills
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to effectively mitigate risk and adhere to trading accuracy while adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Strong ability to ask appropriate, probing questions to clearly understand the client’s needs, using good judgment when responding, and selecting language and examples tailored to the specific experience level of the client
- Practical time management & communication skills, as well as professionalism, and a strong work ethic
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
