Charles Schwab’s Banking Operations is responsible for risk prevention, processing of money movements, and education of policies and procedures related to money movement. We focus on maximizing operating leverage by integrating functions, increasing productivity, and gaining efficiencies to better position Schwab to compete in the marketplace and to reinvest in areas that matter most to our clients. This is a Senior Specialist Business Analyst role on the Banking Operations Supervision & Controls (BOSCO) team, you will:
- Participation in the performance of risk management internal audits for Banking Operations. Specific tasks will include:
- Produce evidence or documentation in support of audit testing
- Perform tasks in support of the overall Control Environment for Banking Operations
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Oversee the operational risk data provided by business units for use in risk identification, assessment and monitoring operational risk activities
- Partner with business management to identify, monitor and control their existing and emerging operational risk
- Challenge the effectiveness of the business' risk response
- Consult regarding risk and the design of controls
- Assist with tracking of team operations including audit status, issue status, and documentation
- Assist in maintenance of the Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA)
- Assist in maintenance of the Banking Operations Retention Schedule
What you have

Required Qualifications:
- 3 - 4+ years of financial services-related experience with increasing responsibility
- Broad knowledge and expertise in Banking Operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial Services experience, specific to risk management, audit support and/or regulatory experience a plus
- Ability to work as a member of a project team and cultivate a strong working relationship with business partners
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to anticipate issues and to design appropriate solutions
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Experienced making timely decisions based on all available information
- Adaptable to an evolving and fast-changing environment, as duties may change with little notice in response to business, market, and regulatory needs
- Self-motivated, able to work independently to bring projects and reporting to conclusion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
