The Trading Services Business Unit Risk team provides the first line of defense risk management and supervision for all areas of its business. This position is responsible for leading, establishing and executing on oversight, policies, procedures and operational/supervisory controls as they relate to the Trading Services scope of business, including areas such as product management (options, futures, forex, digital assets/cryptocurrency, etc.), active trader client segment, platforms (e.g., thinkorswim), and client education. This role will also be responsible for promoting a culture of compliance and proactive process management evolution in order to reduce and/or manage the risk profile of the Trading Services Business. This position requires a series 24 license.
This is an individual contributor role, with no Direct Reports, reporting to the Director- Business Unit Risk. The Sr. Manager ensures by collaboration and review that Trading Services processes, risks and controls are identified, policies and procedures are adequate to address associated risks, supervision is occurring as intended, including but not limited to analysis of new AI-related products and services. Reviews include collaborating with business partners, educating them on applicable rules and policies and negotiating on change expectations and remediation efforts. The applicant must have a strong proficiency for written and verbal communications and relationship building. This is a complex role that requires a candidate with considerable industry and supervisory knowledge, excellent problem solving and project management skills, and who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist leadership with the firm’s overall risk governance activities for Trading Services, including but not limited to Risk and Controls Self Assessments, assessments for new and existing products/services, business continuity assessments, records retention, etc.
- Continuously build and maintain knowledge of firm/enterprise internal policies, procedures and products (e.g. options, futures, forex, digital assets/cryptocurrency, etc.) and the associated requirements for Trading Services.
- Provide oversight and guidance on Trading Services WSPs for the broker dealer, FCM and FDM, operational manuals, training documents and other team resources; develop policies, procedures and supervisory requirements for Trading Services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and key stakeholders such as business leaders, risk partners, other product owners, compliance, retail supervision, marketing, and audit.
- Coordinate content review with various internal business partners including recommending and negotiating content edits, providing education on applicable rules, regulations and company policies, providing principal approval for content, and determine any applicable filing requirements.
- Supervise licensed personnel, including public appearances, calls, chats, emails, OBAs, etc.
- Assist with audits, exams, and other reviews as requested; coordinate and assist Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving remediation activities relative to risk/audit/exam issues.
- Remain abreast of current and changes to applicable rules and regulations in the financial services industry.
- Assist management with completing weekly, monthly and quarterly quality checks and assist with monthly and quarterly reporting and projects as needed.

What you have

Required Qualifications:
- 4 Year College Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
- 7+ years industry experience required
- Advanced knowledge of the financial services/brokerage/futures/AI industry (including rules and regulations)
- Strong leadership to drive change, influence and negotiate, and motivational skills while working strategically with business partners across the organization, such as legal, compliance, risk and audit
- Experience with risk management practice, audit, controls, and supervision
- Must possess ability to assess and analyze complex assignments, making sound and practical decision recommendations in a timely manner
- Adaptability and ability to thrive working independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven, environment with changing business conditions, including a strong ability to multi-task
- Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexible schedule
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft I Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Copilot and other related computer software
- Advanced proficiency with governance, risk, and compliance tools
- Series 7, 63 and 24 licensing required (within six months)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Business or Related field Preferred; Advanced degree or additional risk or audit certifications preferred
- Experience in a compliance or audit capacity with a brokerage firm preferred
- One or more of Series 3, 4, 34, 53, or 65 preferred
- Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
