Sr Manager, Finance - Retail Investing

The Retail Investor Finance team provides financial analysis and strategic decision support for one of Schwab’s largest organizations. As a Senior Manager, Retail Finance, you will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for the consolidated financial outlook of the Retail enterprise, including the month-end close, expense and labor forecasting, annual planning, performance reporting, and direct finance support for the Digital Retail organization.
Your work will turn complex financial results and large datasets into clear insights that help leaders understand performance, evaluate investments, address risks, and make informed trade-off decisions. You will collaborate across Finance, Strategy, and business teams to align assumptions, manage critical deadlines, identify trends and opportunities, and prepare focused recommendations and presentations for senior leadership. Through analytical thinking, sound decision making, and continuous improvement, you will strengthen forecasting and reporting processes while helping the organization operate with greater clarity, scale, and financial discipline.
What you have
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related financial analysis role
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to apply Financial Reporting, Data Analysis, and Analytical Thinking to explain business performance, identify financial risks and opportunities, and support strategic decisions
- Strong Decision Making and Problem Solving skills, with the ability to evaluate alternatives, develop recommendations, and influence business outcomes
- Demonstrated Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management skills across Finance, Strategy, and business teams
- Strong Communication and Presentation Skills, including the ability to translate complex financial information into concise, executive-level messaging
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, including experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
- Ability to manage several workstreams independently, maintain accuracy, and meet critical deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Experience applying Strategic Planning and Modeling to financial forecasts, annual operating plans, scenario analysis, or investment decisions
- Process Improvement experience that strengthens the efficiency, consistency, or decision usefulness of financial reporting and forecasting
- Experience in the financial services industry, including brokerage, banking, or asset management
