The Partner Support team supports clients of Retail, Independent Branches, and SWA with operational and service needs from the most complex to the very basic. The team is designed to foster close relationships with branch partners and prompt resolution of all calls and escalated issues, including direct contact with clients as needed. The team has a focus on proactive communication and client outreach to ensure we build trust and confidence in the model.

The Partner Support Senior Manager position is responsible for balancing the many intricacies of people management and business ownership with a heavy emphasis on cultivating strong relationships across many different business segments and branch partners. The Sr. Manager must possess outstanding communication, listening and critical thinking skills and be able to provide honest and constructive feedback regarding associate performance focusing on the client experience, while also balancing individual performance and goal setting. The Sr. Manager needs to effectively recognize strategic business opportunities, as well as work collaboratively with other managers and leadership in cross departmental projects and initiatives. The role requires a high degree of business acumen and judgment, self-motivation, and organizational skills.

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

  • Active FINRA Series 7, 63, 9 & 10 licenses required (or 9/10 equivalent)
  • Be a current manager with experience of 3+ year(s) with demonstrated ability to drive engagement while also delivering performance against key business objectives
  • 5+ years of securities industry experience with 3+ years of Schwab experience required
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and coaching skills with ability to drive results and develop employees
  • A “get to yes” mindset paired with positive energy and problem-solving skills to find solutions for our clients’ most complex needs.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including success with time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence, build consensus, and effectively drive accountability.
  • Passion for service, positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, strong client focus, and desire to help people
  • Ensure the team is effectively using available tools and resources to troubleshoot and resolve client requests.
  • Ensuring the team is delivering prompt responses and resolutions, while actively navigating internal departments to ensure seamless resolution for all client requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including proven listening skills and the ability to communicate in a clear, well-organized manner
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in the grey to find solutions while understanding and limiting risk to the business
  • Ability to analyze a variety of issues/problems (ranging from simple to very complex), with strong attention to detail
  • Utilizing coaching and feedback sessions, provide performance appraisals and additional training based on individual team member’s development needs and goals
  • Ability to proactively suggest, create, and work collaboratively to implement ideas and programs to improve team and department productivity, cross-department partnerships, and the overall client experience.
