Charles Schwab Advisor Custody & Trading (ACT) is the industry leader in providing custodial, trading, technology, and practice management to independent advisory firms. In partnership with ACT, Schwab Alliance provides premium services for clients of independent financial advisors. The services provide practical financial tools and resources and a dedicated service team to complement the advisor-client relationship. 

Alliance’s vision is to act as a liaison for the Financial Advisor, enhancing their client product and service offering by leveraging the scale of Schwab. Alliance Specialists carry out that vision by working in small, highly collaborative teams that consistently strive to provide a positive experience in every client interaction.

As an Alliance Specialist you will be the primary point of contact for the clients of independent advisors who custody assets with Schwab and provide “best in class” service. It’s this level of service that differentiates us from our competitors and serves as a sustainable competitive advantage.This is a phone-based position.

In this role you will:

  • Assist with client needs related to topics such as new accounts, transaction status, money movement, transfer of account, trading (if licensed), retirement services, and various other account maintenance topics
  • Manage client needs through to completion by advanced research, client advocacy, and collaboration with business partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information
  • Provide outstanding client service with a “one call resolution” mentality while demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills
  • Champion client use of Schwab’s digital platform and provide website navigational support by leading with a superior understanding of features and benefits of Schwab tools, products, and services in order to encourage adoption of our industry leading platform
  • Anticipate client issues and problems and proactively take necessary steps to prevent such problems from occurring
  • Take a proactive approach to learning new concepts by utilizing resources in Knowledge Center and asking clarifying questions to function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your team
  • You will have the opportunity to enroll in our self-study program for the FINRA Series 7 & 63/66 licenses after your first 90 days of training

 Required Qualifications: 

  • 6 months of Alliance experience & SIE required
  • Resilient attitude to help achieve client satisfaction in a continuous call environment
  • Ability to adapt and implement changes as market and business conditions evolve
  • A drive to constantly improve the client experience
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with clients over the phone
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex work, be self-directed, and quickly develop a full understanding of our business
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a desire to work in an inbound phone environment
  • Team orientation, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
  • Be proactive in seeking out opportunities to take on additional team responsibilities

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
