Charles Schwab Advisor Custody & Trading (ACT) is the industry leader in providing custodial, trading, technology, and practice management to independent advisory firms. In partnership with ACT, Schwab Alliance provides premium services for clients of independent financial advisors. The services provide practical financial tools and resources and a dedicated service team to complement the advisor-client relationship.
Alliance’s vision is to act as a liaison for the Financial Advisor, enhancing their client product and service offering by leveraging the scale of Schwab. Alliance Specialists carry out that vision by working in small, highly collaborative teams that consistently strive to provide a positive experience in every client interaction.
In this role you will:
As an Alliance Senior Specialist you will be the primary point of contact for the clients of independent advisors who custody assets with Schwab and provide “best in class” service. It’s this level of service that differentiates us from our competitors and serves as a sustainable competitive advantage. This is a phone-based position. You will:
- Assist with client needs related to topics such as new accounts, transaction status, money movement, transfer of account, trading, tax reporting, retirement services, and various other complex topics
- Manage client needs through to completion by advanced research, client advocacy, and collaboration with business partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information
- Provide outstanding client service with a “one call resolution” mentality while demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills
- Champion client use of Schwab’s digital platform and provide website navigational support by leading with a superior understanding of features and benefits of Schwab tools, products, and services in order to encourage adoption of our industry leading platform
- Work on ad hoc projects or initiatives to support the team
- Address sophisticated client issues and act as a client advocate to drive client resolutions and dedication
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the markets, empathy, energy, and problem solving
- Partner with Service Team(s) to assist with complex Advisor needs
- You will have the opportunity to enroll in our self-study program for the FINRA Series 9 & 10 licenses after your first 90 days of training

Required Qualifications:
- Provide outstanding client service with a “one call resolution” mentality while demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills
- Series 7, 63/66 licenses & Alliance broker training required
- Ability to identify opportunities for the team that offer continuous improvement and scale for the client experience
- Exhibit competency with discussing financial markets, trading operations, and service offerings to guide a client through accurate and compliant resolutions
- Practice active listening, open-ended dialogue, and rapport building to gain a thorough understanding of client’s needs
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex work, be self-directed, and quickly develop a full understanding of our business
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Team orientation, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 6-month Alliance experience
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
