Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) at Charles Schwab & Co. is responsible for implementing a firm-wide, end-to-end vendor relationship management process to maximize vendor performance and value. CVM identifies, mitigates, monitors, and manages vendor risk; and assists Schwab in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. The CVM organization also provides category management and demonstrates strategic sourcing capabilities in the Technology space (Software, Hardware, Networks, Telecom, and Professional Services).
What you’ll do:
The Sr. Sourcing Manager, Technology will play an important role within Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) managing various procurement projects that include the areas of negotiation, contracting, sourcing, and commodity management. This position will also analyze upcoming supplier opportunities for consolidation and co-termination of agreements. In this capacity this person will:
- Manage multiple projects and with technology vendors in high volume work environment.
- Work with business and stakeholders to formulate negotiation plans to maximize value and savings.
- Negotiate complicated contracts such as Master Cloud Agreements with suppliers.
- Build and manage supplier category plans.
- Provide recommendations on all procurement-related issues, plans, reports, trainings and metrics.
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine risks and dependencies.
- Monitor project progress regularly to report project status to procurement management.
- Work with Finance, Legal, Risk and other subject matter experts within Schwab to ensure that that policies and procedures are followed.
Please note: this position is Monday - Friday during standard business hours with a hybrid work model (4 days in office, 1 day working from home). It is only available in Westlake (Dallas), TX and Lone Tree, CO. Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate on their own to one of the listed locations.

What you have

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the procurement of Technology (Hardware, Software, Telecom and Networks) category management, strategic sourcing, consulting, vendor management, risk management and/or procurement
- Experience negotiating complicated Technology Master Agreements and negotiating deals over $10M
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Understanding of industry trends and market competitions to develop business improvement initiatives
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support category management plans that maximize value and mitigate risks while ensuring internal stakeholders’ requirements are met
- Proven track record of building effective working relationships with senior level business partners and internal/ external stakeholders
- Self-starter, able to manage multiple projects and succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal direction
- Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contract law and risk requirements
- Flexible and adaptable in handling/implementing change and understands how that change will impact the team, internal business partners and vendors
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to apply change management and consulting skills/knowledge and expertise
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ariba and or Zip is a plus
