Your Opportunity

Schwab Advisor Services (AS) is the industry leader in providing custody, trading, technology, and practice management services to independent advisory firms.  In Advisor Services, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and their clients are at the center of everything we do. We have built our business on serving the needs of RIAs and advancing an industry that helps them and their clients thrive.  We understand their needs and work side by side providing the support they need to help them manage their firm and meet their goals.

Schwab Advisor Services is in the process of growing two new teams as part of our focus on Wealth Management: Wealth Services Activation Team who supports RIAs by connecting them to Wealth Services opportunities, and an UHNW Ambassador Team who guides RIAs working with the complexity Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UNHW) clients bring to their firms. As the two teams have initiated contact with advisors to build awareness of Schwab’s capabilities to support them beyond Schwab’s custodial capabilities, it has become clear that RIAs could continue to take advantage of the competitive edge our Wealth Services offer with more specialized support. As an AS Wealth Services Engagement Coordinator, you have the opportunity to bring your passion for advisor support and relationship building, along with your robust industry expertise, to a role and a firm that will champion your growth in the financial services industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the UHNW Ambassador and Wealth Services Activation Teams to proactively uncover opportunities using Wealth Services adoption data, firm-level behaviors, and predictive analytics to identify next best conversations with firms.
  • Act as a dynamic advocate for advisors, proactively identifying opportunities to deliver value and help navigate the many Wealth Services options, benefits, and services available at Schwab.
  • Coordinate referrals to Wealth Services subject matter experts or vendors who support RIAs to ensure smooth handoffs between a variety of support teams.
  • Provide operational support to advisors navigating complex onboarding or documentation processes with a variety of Schwab intermediaries, simplifying and streamlining their experience.
  • Provide event support related to events intended to educate advisors about Schwab’s Wealth Services offerings, including content and logistics planning and execution.

What you have

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on RIAs or UHNW clients
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Skill and desire to dig down into the “rabbit hole” of advisor product-adoption data and behaviors to uncover education or consulting opportunities
  • Capability to review a host of data sources, synthesize it, and use it to tell a compelling, value-add story to a business partner or RIA about how Wealth Services can add value for their clients
  • Energetic, solution-oriented mindset with a skillset of anticipating the needs of RIAs
  • Passionate teamwork-minded and can-do attitude
  • Comfortable with ambiguity as the team and this role grows and evolves as the needs of RIAs change
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to continuously improve processes for efficiency
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the ability to handle client needs with tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly with RIAs, UHNW clients, and internal partners.
  • Expertise in communicating the distinctive value and solutions available through Schwab for the RIA model, empowering Advisors to better serve their clients and achieve growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active & valid FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred
  • Experience working with HNW or UHNW clients
  • In-depth knowledge of Schwab Advisor Services products, services, complex subject matters, policies, and procedures as well as demonstrated brokerage industry knowledge.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
