Manager, Investor Services Content & Experiences
Your Opportunity
We believe that, when done right, investing liberates people to create their own destiny. We are driven by our purpose to champion every client’s goal with passion and integrity. We respect and appreciate the diversity of our employees, our clients, and the communities we serve. We challenge conventions strategically to create value for our clients, our firm and the world. We live and bring to life the concept of ‘own your tomorrow’ every day. We champion our employee strengths, guide their development, and invest in their long-term success. We hire optimistic, results-oriented, curious, innovative, and adaptable people with the desire to help our clients and one another succeed.
As a company, we were established by Chuck over 40 years ago to champion Main Street over Wall Street, and to help Americans transform themselves from earners to owners. Through advocacy and innovation, we work to make investing more affordable, accessible and understandable for all. As we enter our fifth decade, we are looking for talented, innovative and driven people who believe they can help themselves, and our clients, create a better future.
Our Opportunity
Investor Services Content & Experiences is seeking a Manager to help operate and continuously improve the end-to-end content lifecycle across Schwab’s Investor Services digital channels. This role will be a core member of the Content Operations capability, helping turn channel and content priorities into well-managed, high-quality work from intake and planning through review, publishing, launch, maintenance, and retirement.
The Manager will coordinate complex workflows across Channel Product Leaders, Content Strategy & Experience, Product and Audience Marketing, Publishing, Compliance, Legal, and other partners. The role will bring structure, visibility, and disciplined execution to a broad portfolio that includes new launches, high-priority initiatives, BAU updates, regulatory changes, bugs, maintenance, and recurring content reviews.
The successful candidate will be an organized and proactive operator who can manage details without losing sight of the broader experience. This person will help simplify workflows, clarify ownership, identify risk early, improve operational reporting, and build scalable practices that support today’s channels while preparing the team for modular content, reusable foundations, AI-enabled workflows, and evolving platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage content initiatives from intake through launch and maintenance, defining scope, requirements, owners, milestones, dependencies, approvals, and success criteria across launches, BAU updates, regulatory changes, and defects.
- Partner with Channel Product Leaders, Content Strategy & Experience leads, and cross-functional teams to translate priorities into workplans, clarify ownership and handoffs, and communicate timing, capacity, and tradeoffs.
- Coordinate Communication with the Public (CWTP) and other reviews and approvals, engaging partners at the right time and documenting decisions, approvals, and required evidence.
- Manage publishing and release readiness, including content handoffs, metadata, tagging, analytics requirements, quality checks, launch coordination, and post-launch validation.
- Triage maintenance requests and defects by urgency, impact, and risk; coordinate resolution and escalate missing inputs, unclear requirements, conflicting feedback, and unresolved decisions with recommended next steps.
- Maintain content inventories, ownership, review dates, and lifecycle records to support governance, auditability, retirement decisions, and the long-term health of Schwab’s digital experiences.
- Report on work status, launch readiness, aging items, risks, bottlenecks, throughput, cycle time, and capacity constraints.
- Improve cross-channel processes, intake, tooling, capacity visibility, and dependency management; reduce rework and unnecessary steps through clearer handoffs and responsible use of AI and automation.
About the Team
Investor Services Content & Experiences stewards Schwab’s Investor Services digital front doors and is responsible for how Schwab comes to life across those experiences. The team combines broad channel leadership with deep cross-channel capability expertise spanning content strategy and development, content operations, digital tools, optimization and experimentation, analytics and performance, and portfolio operations. We are strategic partners, experience stewards, systems thinkers, and disciplined operators.
Content Operations is the operating backbone of the team. The capability creates visibility, controls, coordination, and repeatable practices required to deliver new work, maintain existing content, respond to urgent needs, and improve the content estate over time. The team must support current delivery while progressively building more scalable, measurable, and technology-enabled ways of working.
What you have
Qualifications
- Experience in content operations, digital production, web content management, marketing operations, project or program management, publishing, or a related field. Financial services or other regulated-industry experience preferred.
- Experience managing end-to-end digital content workflows across teams, dependencies, approvals, and launch dates, including compliance, legal, creative, publishing, technology, and QA processes requiring documentation and auditability.
- Strong organization, operational judgment, and attention to quality; able to prioritize concurrent work, identify root causes and downstream risks, resolve ambiguity, and escalate practical recommendations.
- Working knowledge of CMS and digital publishing, including content handoffs, metadata, tagging, links, responsive experiences, analytics, release readiness, and post-launch validation.
- Experience with Workfront, Smartsheet, Jira, or comparable workflow tools; ability to create workplans, process maps, procedures, reports, launch checklists, service-level expectations, and decision records. Tool configuration and optimization experience is valuable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional influence; able to coordinate without direct authority and tailor communication for teams, partners, and senior leaders during complex or urgent work.
- Curiosity and fluency in AI, automation, structured and modular content, and emerging workflows, with sound judgment about controls, risk, and human review.
- Adaptability to evolving ownership, platforms, and processes while balancing immediate delivery with long-term operational improvement.
What Success Looks Like
- Partners have a clear, reliable path for moving content work from intake through launch and ongoing maintenance.
- Work status, owners, approvals, dependencies, risks, and launch readiness are visible and trusted.
- High-priority and regulatory work is identified early and handled without losing control of the broader portfolio.
- Launches occur with fewer missed requirements, late-stage surprises, publishing errors, tracking gaps, and post-launch defects.
- Content-maintenance obligations, bugs, aging work, review dates, and lifecycle decisions are actively managed rather than addressed only when issues arise.
- Channel and content leaders spend less time chasing status and coordinating routine handoffs, creating more capacity for strategy, experience improvement, and future-state work.
- Cycle time, rework, bottlenecks, and operational risk improve over time through clearer standards, better tooling, and pragmatic automation.
- Current operations become a stronger foundation for reusable patterns, modular and structured content, scalable workflows, and AI-enabled ways of working.
