Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) is part of the Corporate Risk Management (CRM) department that forms the second line of defense at Charles Schwab. EORM enables The Charles Schwab Corporation’s (CSC) purpose and vision by governing and continually improving enterprise and operational risk programs, including effectively challenging business processes to increase understanding and awareness of enterprise and operational risks and improve related risk-based decision making.
Within EORM, the Programs, Monitoring, & Insights (PMI) Team provides program leadership for Operational Losses and Scenario Analysis and performs Operational Risk Monitoring and Insight.
Role Overview:

As part of the PMI team, you’ll work side-by-side with talented colleagues to advance the automation, analysis, and visualization of operational risk data—empowering smarter, faster decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively collaborate with team members to identify, design, and implement automation solutions that streamline data management, reporting, and workflow processes.
- Drive continuous improvement by experimenting with new tools and technologies to automate key operational routines and reduce manual effort.
- Play a hands-on role in enhancing and maintaining data capture processes, ensuring operational risk data is accurate, timely, and actionable.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand needs, co-create solutions, and ensure data-driven insights are delivered where they matter most.
- Contribute to the review and documentation of change requests for risk data objects, supporting validation and tracking.
- Documentation of procedures, processes, and controls ensuring that use of technology is repeatable, reliable, and aligned with governance requirements.
- Analyze operational risk trends and help translate complex data into compelling, actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
- Champion innovation in data visualization—helping to design, build, and refine dashboards and reports that bring operational risk data to life.
- Engage in cross-team initiatives to share best practices, foster a culture of learning, and support modernization efforts.
- Build and nurture strong working relationships with partners throughout the organization, leveraging collective expertise to achieve ambitious team goals.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site four days per week in the specified locations.

What you have

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working in a professional environment
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and programming languages (Python, R), familiarity with Github, and an interest in learning new skills and tools
- A track record of driving automation in data management and reporting processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Undergraduate degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in risk management, governance, or a related field
