The Banking Operations- Charitable Operations Manager (IC) is responsible for providing a robust, premier, client experience across all move money channels. We play a critical role for the firm in our efforts of delivering service and an elite client experience for both retail investors and independent advisors, while providing a controlled and disciplined environment that allows our employees to feel valued and engaged. As an Individual Contributor Manager on the Charitable Operations Team, you will be responsible for fostering a One move money team focused on providing an expedited, high-touch service experience through dedicated operational support. This is accomplished by providing a high quality, timely money movement experience, while ensuring that the client experience is in line with Schwab's value proposition for our Donor Advised Fund Giving 360 population and continues to build the client's trust for, and relationship with, Schwab.
This is a fast paced, detail-oriented, high volume, and deadline-driven environment requiring the ability to build and foster relationships across the firm to be successful. In addition to a background in Brokerage/Banking Operations, the ideal candidate should possess the ability to work all move money functions with a specific focus on Charitable business.
In this role you will work with business partners including Charitable Operations Donor Team. Candidates will assist in the development, implementation and management of procedural changes and provide operational and business support to diverse teams within Operational Services.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing all aspects of the money movement workflows for example: Wires, Checks, SWIBs, Journals, Tax Assignment, Pool Trades, Audit Reviews, Risk Trades
- Anticipate potential risk issues pertaining to all facets of the money movement operation while communicating and implementing proactive solutions.
- Identifying situations where escalation is warranted and taking the necessary action quickly in a high-risk environment.
- Communicating effectively and delivering work that is detailed and clear.
- Working collaboratively and efficiently with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively educating clients and internal partners on our products and services.

What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
- Series 7,63 and 9/10 required
- 5+ years’ experience in client service or operations with brokerage/financial industry preferred.
- Extensive understanding of Charitable Operations and DAF Giving 360 organizations including but not limited to: relationship, policies/procedures, and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to take ownership of team of projects and see through to completion independently
- Act as liaison with business partners, especially when related to technical and/or system functionality/ improvements/issue resolution
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent operational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage complex work.
- Due to nature of risk with responsibilities, attention to detail and accuracy are required.
- Advanced level of knowledge regarding regulatory, audit and compliance policies surrounding the securities industry.
- Positive attitude, team oriented, enthusiastic, professional, forward thinker and strong work ethic.
