The Wealth Offers & Operations Business Planning & Analysis team is responsible for for the strategic planning, business analysis, and capacity management our wealth management delivery professionals at Schwab. We work, think and approach problems differently than your traditional financial services firm, and we drive to change how Schwab operates and how the industry serves investors. We aim to serve a wide range of investors with premier wealth management solutions that are needs-based, modern, innovative, accessible, and value-oriented. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting business growth while ensuring the sustainable delivery of a consistent wealth management experience comprised of people, process, and technology to serve clients at scale.

We are seeking a dynamic Director, Capacity and Business Strategy expert to help scale and optimize our high-growth wealth businesses. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence and collaboration across enterprises.

The person to assume this role must have the proven ability to: 

  • Own capacity management and workforce planning across Schwab Wealth Advisor and Wealth Strategies Group organizations, ensuring both businesses are positioned to support growth while maintaining a high-quality client experience.
  • Develop demand forecasts, staffing models, and hiring plans that align resources with current and future business needs.
  • Lead quarterly and long-term planning processes, partnering with business leaders, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Real Estate.
  • Monitor capacity health, hiring progress, workload distribution, and growth readiness, identifying risks and driving actions before capacity constraints emerge.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions, resource allocation, business investments, and organizational priorities.
  • Build scalable reporting, analytics, and forecasting capabilities that improve visibility, decision-making, and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and AI-supported solutions that increase efficiency, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
  • Lead a team responsible for capacity management, business analysis, and strategic planning while fostering collaboration across SWA, WSG, and enterprise partners.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in roles such as capacity management, financial planning & analysis, and business operations
  • Expert analytical and quantitative skills, including expert excel and data analysis/visualization capabilities (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc)
  • Proven experience automating complex processes and leveraging AI tools
  • Experience synthesizing complex data into actionable insights

  • Leadership and relationship-building skills, including ability to influence and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and enterprise
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively present to all levels of the organization, including business leadership
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to ensure error free analysis and output
