Our Opportunity

Marketing Automation Platform helps streamline and automate Marketing tasks and workflows to increase efficiency and drive revenue growth. The objective of this platform is also to provide repeatable and scalable processes and solutions for Marketing professionals to execute campaigns, analyze results and manage leads effectively. The Marketing Automation Platform integrates Schwab Marketing applications with Schwab and 3rd party applications.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a talented Sr. Software Developer to join the Marketing Automation Platform team. This individual should have a passion for keeping up-to-date and using cutting-edge integration technologies to build optimal and scalable solutions. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute to a highly collaborative culture and Agile team environment. The job will include design and development of data integration tools that meet performance and scalability requirements. In this role, you will work closely with our various business partners and stakeholders to ensure the solutions delivered by the team provide the expected business value and is delivered on time.   The candidate should have strong object-oriented programming design and programming skills using Java, JavaScript, REST or SOAP Services, Web APIs, MongoDB, SQL, Pivotal Cloud and experience implementing object-oriented solutions.  

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 15+ years’ experience with Java development.
• At least 15+ years of professional experience, working in Agile Scrum methodology and expertise in back-end development activities.  
• 10+  years of experience building RESTful services and/or SOAP based APIs.
• Experience with cloud Services like Pivotal Cloud or AWS /Azure. 
• Developing against SQL like SQL Server/NoSQL systems like MongoDB, Web API and RESTful service.
• Experience in design and developing user interfaces using JavaScript, Node.js is a plus
• Experience with GitHub actions, Splunk and cloud native development.
• You contribute to architectural design and documentation.
• You are self-directed and interact with technology and business partners at all levels. 
• You should be comfortable in a fast-paced customer-focused environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and techniques. 
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Agile software development principles along with experience participating in Scrum-based delivery team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Bootstrap, Node or similar technologies.
• Experience with TDD & BDD a plus.
• Experience with test automation is a plus.
