The Retail Trading Services Finance team provides financial analysis and business decision support for Schwab’s Retail Investor Services enterprise. The Trading Services organization provides an industry-leading trading experience to Schwab’s clients, including a range of innovative platforms, trading tools, and capabilities available across desktop, web, and mobile channels; a broad array of trading products; trading education and financial content delivered live and on-demand; and expert relationships service, and risk management support.

Our team’s objectives are to help business partners drive operational leverage and maximize profitability through rigorous analysis to support strategic decision making and planning, understand business trends, and communicate performance.

This position will play a vital role in providing financial support, helping business partners drive scale and efficiency, and developing ad-hoc analytics to support business initiatives.

What you’re good at:

• Independently provide monthly financial reporting, conduct variance analysis, quantify risks & opportunities, prepare quarterly financial forecasts and annual plans, ensure timely and accurate reporting for all business lines including the Futures and Forex legal entity

• Synthesize, communicate, and provide relevant financial insights to inform strategic decision making

• Build strong business partnership at multiple levels to drive results

• Evaluate opportunities, build financial models to support growth initiatives including scale & efficiency

• Drive process efficiencies

• Support ad hoc analytics

What you have

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A, including variance analysis, reporting, and budgeting & forecasting

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or related field

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Experience using IBM Planning Analytics or PeopleSoft Financials applications

• Solid understanding of finance concepts and GAAP accounting

• Strong attention to detail

• Demonstrate analytical aptitude working with large data sets

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
