As a Sr. Specialist, you will have a unique opportunity of defining the service that will be delivered to both the participant and plan sponsor. The Sr. Specialist is expected to be a subject matter expert in retirement plan loan processing and maintenance while providing consultative services to SRPS plan sponsors. Specifically, the position responsibilities include:
- Work directly with plan sponsors to bring loans current by creating customized actionable plans, including consulting on corrective methodologies.
- Research loan and payroll history to provide plan sponsors with resolution and accurate data.
- Effectively communicate with plan sponsors on the day-to-day plan needs (loan specific).
- Coordinate with internal business partners on participant and client requests to ensure timely completion.
- Work collaboratively within the organization and share best practices to meet and exceed client needs and expectation.
- Participate in new plan and merger conversion meetings, assisting with new client onboarding efforts.
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of qualified retirement plan administration experience, including 3+ years in loan administration.
- College degree required.
- Experience supporting plan conversions, including new client onboarding and M&A activity, with the ability to build effective partnerships across conversion teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to viewing the business through the client’s eyes and delivering strong client experiences.
- Strong flexibility, attention to detail, initiative in researching and completing tasks, and ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal partners, translating information accurately and confidently for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments to ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements, including automation or macros that enhance the participant and client experience.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, including knowing when to engage additional resources or escalate appropriately.
- Excellent time management, strong attention to detail, and well-developed organizational and analytical capabilities.
