We are seeking atalentedSoftwareDevelopmentEngineerwithexpertisein Java, Pivotal Cloud Foundry(PCF),IaaSandAgile methodologiesto join ourRBStechnologyorganizationspecifically supporting theexcitinggrowth investmentin the PCIS domain.As a Specialist in Software Development and Engineering for RBS, you willbe working with a team of talented and highly motivated technologists thatstrive toprovide technical solution delivery within the engineering team for our business partnersand our technology initiatives.This position willbe responsible fordelivering high quality solutionsthatmeet businessobjectivesin a flexible, collaborative,and rapidly changing delivery environment. It requiresahighly motivated and focused developerwith exceptional interpersonal skills who iscurious to build new and innovative solutions for ourClients.

In this role you will:

• Workin anAgileScrumenvironment,participatingin Sprint Planning, dailyStand-ups,Refinements, and Retrospectivesas well asparticipatingin quarterly Scaled Agile practices with PI Planning.
• Design,developandmaintainsoftware applicationsusing Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, and Kafka, ensuring scalability,reliability,and performance.
• Drive GITHUB migration and build out CI/CD pipelines and IaaS infrastructure.
• Deploy andmanageapplications on PCF(Pivotal Cloud Foundry) platform, ensuring availability and scalability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with existing systems and platforms.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews and provideconstructivefeedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to application, databaseperformance,andfunctionality.
• As a member ofthe RetirementBusiness Services Technology team, you will join a software development organization and contribute tothe developmentofmultiple applications across the RBS application portfolioin specifically the Personal Choice Investments Services domain.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• 3years of experience in software development.
• Proficiencyin Java and experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and 
• Strong understanding ofthe Personal Choice Investments Services domain.  
• Proficiencywith developing User Interfaces using the AngularJS framework.  
• Strong understanding of relational databases (g., Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably PCF(Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
• Experience with IaaS provisioning and configuration. 
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and SAFeenvironments.
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment experience using modern tools (Bamboo/GitHub Actions, BitBucket/GitHubor others).
• Experience developing RESTful Web APIs and Microservices in Javaand Spring Boot.
• Experience with event driven technologies, especially RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Experience building and executing automated tests using Junit.
• Experience with Splunk for log monitoring, alerting, and analysis.
• Familiarity with secure coding development (OWASP, CWE, etc.) a plus.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot to level-upyour day-to-day activities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent team player and the ability to take direction from the Senior Staff toexecute with precision.
• Curiosity to understand and leveragenew tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with secure coding development (OWASP, CWE, etc.) a plus.
