This position will be part of the Business Process Management Technology Team at Schwab and focuses on driving

client-centricity, reducing time to market & increasing efficiency. The model is insights-driven and focuses on rapid

iterations to drive innovation and transformation. Ideal candidates enjoy fast-paced environments, thrive under

designing solutions to support Estates and Enterprise Status initiatives to automate and standardize operational

workflows, and enabling project success via cross-functional coordination and ownership.

• Advanced development, support and implementation of complex workflow systems using specialized PEGA

knowledge and highly-developed business expertise

• Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by

the application, or misalignment with business requirements.

• Understand, advocate and augment the platform principles, guidelines and standards

• Analyze the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies,

and recommend solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation and innovation).

• Assist with the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of

standard and custom software configurations.

• Provide development coding standards and guardrail metrics.

• Ensure code quality with hands on experience with Pega Unit and implementing automated unit test plan on

the pega platform.

• Mentor junior team members in best practices and standards

• Align technical solutions with the platform and business strategy.

• Documentation of application / system design and analysis work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and processes

• Minimum of 4 years of software development experience

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience on Pega systems - Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA)

certification desired

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with delivering operational business solutions to implement Estates

workflows for our clients

• Experience with delivering operational business solutions to implement Enterprise Status workflows for

our clients

• Experience with delivering operational business solutions to implement Crypto related workflows for our

clients

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in BDD (Behavior Driven Development) design techniques and test

automation experience using Selenium WebDriver with Cucumber

• Technical competency in an OOP language such as .NET Core / Java

• Technical competency testing web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular, ASP) with thorough

knowledge of Page Object Model design patterns

• Experience implementing and supporting REST based Web Service API(s) in a transaction processing

environment.

• Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Develops solutions and coordinates with teams to enhance application support

• Enhances processes to ensure legal and ethical data compliance

• Innovates solutions that strengthen incident response and mitigate outcomes

• Generates effective QA testing solutions that boost operational performance and product integrity

• Enhances business outcomes by partnering with teams to organize and prioritize requirements

• Develops security solutions that meet business requirements

• Develops software solutions that align with design principles and business objectives • Optimizes software development testing and verification to enhance component reliability and address operational problems • Leads packaging and orchestration to efficiently deliver software deployments • Delivers scalable, business-aligned system design solutions through predictive or adaptive approache

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (Bamboo / Harness / GitHub)

• Experience with NoSQL, and / or SQL based databases and statement query tuning

• Experience with distributed multi-tier applications

• Experience testing applications on the PEGA platform is desired

• Experience with Federated identity and SSO standards (e.g. SAML, OAuth) is desired

• Experience with Splunk for application logging, monitoring, operational insights and troubleshooting

• Team player with strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills

• Applies analytical thinking to abstract factors, guides outcomes, and sets priorities

• Consistently maintains clear, open communication to enhance collaboration with others

• Leverages industry expertise to guide strategy and guide team members in industry and marketplace

dynamics

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
