Manager, IT Product Management
Your Opportunity
Charles Schwab’s Specialty Operations Platform Team delivers product and technology solutions that modernize operational processes, simplify the client and employee experience, and support critical firm initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Alternative Investments and FLEX Strategy and Support Team. This role will partner closely with Product Owners to translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions while building the product-management skills and experience needed to progress into a future Product Owner role. The position will support Alternative Investments and key firm initiatives, including Alts Digitization, Broker-Dealer Modernization, and Forge Integration.
What you’ll do
You will provide business analysis and product support across Alternative Investments platforms, operational processes, and dependent interfaces. Working alongside Product Owners, business partners, technology teams, and vendors, you will help shape priorities and deliver business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to understand objectives, workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
Lead discovery and analysis; document process flows, business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and impacts.
Support backlog intake, refinement, prioritization, roadmap planning, and stakeholder updates.
Collaborate with technology teams throughout Agile delivery, including refinement, iteration planning, testing, release readiness, and implementation.
Analyze data, issues, dependencies, and business impacts to inform product decisions and priorities.
Coordinate business testing, production validation, training, and adoption of new capabilities; some release support may occur outside regular business hours.
Support day-to-day platform questions and production issue triage, serving as a liaison among business, technology, and vendor partners.
Contribute to high-priority initiatives such as Alts Digitization, Broker-Dealer Modernization, Forge Integration, and other Alternative Investments programs.
Develop product ownership capabilities by helping define product outcomes, recommending priorities, facilitating decisions, and progressively taking ownership of product work.
What you have
Required Qualifications
5+ years of brokerage operations, business analysis, product support, or related experience; Alternative Investments experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes, define requirements, and translate complex needs into actionable solutions.
Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, testing, issue analysis, and delivery support.
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience presenting to leadership.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-support capabilities.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, and other business-analysis or product-management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Agile product delivery, product ownership, business architecture, or design thinking.
Demonstrated interest in developing into a Product Owner role.
BA/BS degree preferred.
FINRA Series 7 and 63 preferred but not required.
