As Director, Product Practices & Transformation, you will support product teams in advancing client advocacy through targeted enablement programs, tools, and practices, strengthening product management capabilities across Schwab and driving improvements in time-to-value/market, product quality, and client outcomes.
This role leads the end-to-end product practice system, including supporting talent growth, operating model, planning, AI-enabled PDLC, and value realization. You will partner across Product teams, Technology, UX, and Business to support standardized ways of working, scale best practices, and enable teams to deliver greater value to clients faster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and integration of a unified product talent framework, embedding competencies, role clarity, and capability growth into performance and talent processes
- Lead the adoption and scaling of AI-enabled product practices to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and delivery capabilities
- Support continuous evolution of product operating models including long-term roadmaps, opportunity alignment, planning, delivery, and performance measurement across the organizations
- Drive end-to-end change of business and product delivery processes, partnering with business owners to reimagine workflows, challenge legacy ways of working, and optimize for client value
- Own and deliver measurable improvements in time-to-value/market through the execution of integrated, enterprise-level initiatives • Support and enable consistent product and technology planning practices, enabling capacity-based, OKR-driven roadmaps aligned to strategic priorities
- Leverage data, tooling, and analytics to drive insights into capacity, throughput, and product delivery performance, informing continuous improvement
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale transformation, product operations, or center of excellence initiatives
- Deep expertise in product operating models, PDLC, and scalable process design
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong experience driving measurable outcomes such as improved time-to-market, delivery performance, and product quality
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, and UX
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams, operating models, and enablement programs
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in product management, product operations, transformation strategy, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience leading enterprise programs, transformation initiatives, or multi-functional teams across Product and Technology, at large-scale enterprises at F500 preferred
- Experience driving end-to-end digital product transformation, including operating model design, tool enablement, governance, and delivery optimization
- Background in Agile, Lean, and/or Six Sigma methodologies, with a focus on improving flow efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing delivery throughput
- Experience in data-driven product and operational decision-making, including use of metrics to drive prioritization, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
