Role summary: As Director, PCIS Product Management (Business) (PL), you will be responsible for the overall product management line for the PCIS suite of products and offers—including CRA, ESBA, PCRA, HSBA, and Broker-Dealer Custody—spanning strategy, roadmap, governance, and delivery outcomes. You will lead a product and reporting organization that partners across technology, operations, service, sales, marketing, finance, legal, and compliance to deliver industry-leading trading and brokerage capabilities across retirement and health savings channels. This role drives regulatory adherence and controls, accurate and timely reporting, digital modernization, and expansion of alternative investments and digital/alternative assets—including third-party access and platform integration—while maintaining competitiveness, scalability, and a great client and participant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product leadership across the PCIS brokerage suite (CRA, ESBA, PCRA, HSBA, and Broker-Dealer Custody), including product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead and scale the PCIS product management operating model by setting an execution cadence, aligning cross-functional delivery, and consolidating accountability across senior manager and specialist roles.
- Translate client, field, and partner needs into clear decisions and shipped enhancements that improve adoption, retention, and the end-to-end client/participant experience.
- Set strategy and governance for trading functionality and trade restrictions, partnering with Legal/Compliance and business stakeholders to maintain appropriate controls and client outcomes.
- Reduce operational and compliance risk by diagnosing and remediating complex product, trading, and data issues; standardize best practices, procedures, and tooling that strengthen controls and reliability.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and competitive client, business, audit, and control reporting; define success metrics, forecasts, and KPI measurement across the product suite.
- Drive scale and efficiency modernization that improves delivery predictability, reduces operational friction, and increases throughput across the PCIS portfolio.
- Lead digital enablement and digital advice-aligned capabilities across PCIS channels, partnering with technology and business teams to modernize platforms, integrations, and user experiences.
- Own expansion strategy for alternative investments and digital/alternative assets within brokerage channels, including risk/controls alignment as offerings evolve.
- Enable third-party access and ecosystem partnerships (e.g., recordkeepers, TPAs, health savings administrators, advisors) by defining product requirements, operating models, and integration patterns that are scalable and compliant.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners; align on shared goals, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the business in product and technology decisions, shaping architecture, data integration, and controls required to scale PCIS product management capabilities.
- Provide on-site product leadership and escalation management (as applicable) to improve responsiveness, partner engagement, and execution speed.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team through coaching, clear standards, accountability, and performance management; foster a culture of disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitive trends across retirement brokerage, health savings brokerage, self-directed trading, alternatives, and digital assets; use insights to guide strategy and prioritization.
What you have
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of product management experience, including self-directed trading and/or brokerage platform product management; experience in retirement and/or health savings products strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to set strategy and drive execution through cross-functional collaboration across technology, operations, service, compliance/legal, sales, marketing, and finance.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and control frameworks for broker-dealer products, including governance for trade restrictions and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to improve speed and alignment by operating as a trusted SME and decision partner—unblocking teams and accelerating delivery.
- Track record of strengthening data integration and integrity to improve reliability, reporting, and control effectiveness.
- Superior analytical, prioritization, communication, and negotiation skills; entrepreneurial approach to solving complex product problems.
- Leadership experience mentoring, growing, and managing high-performing product development/management teams; ability to set operating cadence and accountability.
- Series 7 and 24 preferred (or willingness to obtain, as applicable); other licenses such as Series 63, 9 & 10 beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple sites and with distributed teams and partners.
