Senior Program Manager, AS Continuous Improvement

The Advisor Services Operational Effectiveness Team’s mission is to increase advisor, client, and business partner satisfaction by improving the efficiency of Schwab’s operational processes and platforms. To accomplish its mission, the team develops strategies and executes project plans for operations-based initiatives; uses data driven analysis and process optimization techniques to identify and implement workflow solutions; and creates tools and programs to monitor, drive, and sustain operational process improvements.
What you’ll do:
The AS Continuous Improvement Program (ASCI) was established in 2020 and provides a forum where any AS employee can submit improvement ideas, no matter how big or small. Since inception, the program has received over 7,000 ideas and implemented nearly 1,500 of them! The AS Continuous Improvement Program Manager is a position responsible for executing, maintaining, and evolving the continuous improvement program for Advisor Services operations. This role will:
- Evaluate, triage, and assign improvement ideas to the Operational Effectiveness team and key business partners
- Partner cross‑functionally to diagnose root causes and develop effective, sustainable solutions
- Deliver improvement initiatives independently and through project teams
- Lead impact assessment and prioritization sessions to determine improvement opportunities
- Develop and execute strategy to evolve and grow the continuous improvement program for Advisor Services
- Serve as program champion, driving engagement across business leaders and participants
- Deepen and strengthen network with business partners
- Maintain the continuous improvement intranet site
- Prepare and present program performance reporting and insights to leaders and stakeholders
What you have
- 10+ years work experience in the financial industry
- Passion to continuously drive improvement and hold others to that standard
- 8+ years experience with Schwab operational processes and technologies, including but not limited to myQ, Client Central, Schwab Advisor Center, Forms, Docusign, Salesforce, and Document Intake/Document Control
- Experience with process transformation initiatives, Lean and/or Six Sigma experience and certifications preferred
- Experience with the BrightIdea platform preferred
- Ability to overcome ambiguity and other obstacles to successfully achieve meaningful results
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Advanced communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to independently manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives with limited supervision
- Strong facilitation, organization, and collaboration skills
- Meticulous and detail-oriented approach
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel
