The mission of the Digital Experience and Adoption organization is to deliver a modern, well-adopted core custodial platform with robust digital capabilities and a world-class client service experience that fuels firm growth and retention while creating business efficiency and scale.  The organization consists of several teams designed to ensure that the digital and service experience is seamless and continues to evolve to meet the needs of our clients.  The Digital Adoption team sits within the AS Core Digital Solutions org.

Technology Adoption is a strategic priority for Advisor Services and is a core tenet of technology effectiveness.  The Advisor-facing Digital Adoption team is responsible for working directly with our RIAs to

  • Provide rich education and awareness on our full suite of digital capabilities.
  • Develop action plans for fully leveraging digital workflows and creating efficiency within the unique needs of each RIAs business.
  • Collect feedback to bring back to our product and support teams to better the client experience and reduce adoption barriera.

What you are good at:

The Advisor Adoption Manager (IC) will play an integral role in driving adoption of technology platform capabilities.  Success in this role includes working directly with RIAs to understand their business, then communicate effectively to build awareness and excitement for new features, influence them to want to adopt the tools, and provide them with training, change management support, and best practices on how to build efficiency through new digital workflows.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage adoption and efficiency focused relationships directly with several high volume, complex firms that are assigned to you; develop a deep understanding of their business processes and workflows, compliance needs, technology stack, operational structure, business goals and business challenges; build a “trusted expert” reputation and relationship with key members of the firm including operations as well as C-suite/decision makers.
  • Partner with Advisor Services Sales and Service teams to understand the unique business needs of the RIAs as they relate to our digital products and work collaboratively with Schwab partners to help firms work more efficiently with Schwab.
  • Be open to taking on short-term or long-term special projects, tasks, and responsibilities related to our team and business goals of increasing advisor efficiency, advisor education, and business critical initiatives that require advisor-facing support. Examples include but are not limited to: establish advisor-facing webinar series from scratch for go-to-market initiatives; create and manage team level roll up of tracking and reporting for advisor adoption/efficiency progress; gather and analyze quantitative/qualitative behavior and eligibility data to identify subsets of advisors to target, and recommend specific actions to increase advisor efficiency and adoption.
  • Diligently manage firm efficiency and adoption data, your interactions, key activities, and document progress for your assigned firms according to team tracking standards; escalate adoption/efficiency roadblocks or any other issues that may cause a firm to favor another custodian in a timely fashion.
  • Self-learning: proactively expand one’s own expertise in Schwab custody and wealth management technology platforms and operations as well as 3rd party integration products and capabilities – what they deliver and how they help advisors.
  • Public speaking: both virtually and in person, build content, PowerPoint decks for presentations, develop scripts, rehearse in front of peers and business partners, take feedback positively and incorporate into presentation content and delivery.
  • Project management: prepare and execute scalable change management plans for large and complex firms to help users to transition to new digital workflows or other types of projects to own, or co-own, and manage end-to-end or any part of a project to collaborate on.
  • Direct outreach: reaching out to a list of advisors directly via telephone, email, or combination to build awareness of specific technology features, digital education events, new product launches, and policy changes.
