The Trading and Distributions Sr. Specialist is a key contributor to the evolution and scalability of Schwab’s Retail Alternative Investments offering. This role supports a broad range of Alternative Investment operational processes while driving modernization initiatives—including order digitization, workflow optimization, and back‑office transformation. The Sr. Specialist provides critical operational oversight through detailed reviews, cross‑functional coordination, and control‑strengthening activities that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation. In addition, the role partners closely with Advisor Services and internal stakeholders to perform secondary reviews, reinforce operational rigor, and support the ongoing expansion and maturation of the Retail Offering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, validate, and process Alternative Investment purchase and redemption orders with a high level of accuracy.
• Serve as a key operational contributor to Schwab’s Retail Alternative Investments offering, ensuring a seamless and scalable client experience.
• Lead and support initiatives related to order digitization and modernization of back‑office processes for Alternative Investments.
• Collaborate with AI Platform, AI Product, external vendors, and cross‑business partners to advance the organization’s AI Modernization strategy.
• Identify workflow enhancements, share best practices, and optimize resource utilization across teams.
• Lead process improvement initiatives that impact multiple AI operational teams, contributing to broader strategic priorities.

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience in Alternative Investments custody or operations.
• Strong understanding of private equity, hedge funds, and real asset investment structures.

• Demonstrated ability to drive and lead process improvement and modernization initiatives.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize effectively in a fast paced, multitasking environment.
• Strong relationship building skills and commitment to enhancing client experience.

• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
