Your Opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

At Schwab, Senior Product Managers create and evolve game changing, industry leading products and platforms.  In this role you will own the success of the entire lifecycle (vision, strategy, definition, planning, delivery and support) for the multiple work streams on the Client Central platform.  The ideal candidate has a proven track record delivering exceptionally well-designed products and services that achieve business goals based on well-defined business cases and metrics.

Our ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders across business and technology.   The innovative and mission critical roadmap of Digital Rep Services requires Product Managers to balance modern agile and design thinking with strong customer and operational focus.  Your track record will show that you know how to achieve this balance. Client Central’s capabilities are critical to ensuring strong and reliable relationships between our service, operations and specialty teams and our clients.  In the Product Manager capacity, there is tremendous opportunity to make a positive contribution to the rep experience as we support and enhance these capabilities at Schwab.

What you'll do:

  • Support business initiatives that are critical to the firm research approaches to identify essential client, technology and business needs
  • Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders; manage feedback to gain insights into future product development
  • Drive stakeholder and organizational alignment on product priorities, business strategy, trade-off decisions and investment
  • Create detailed user stories based on understanding of the business requirements to define product features as well as the user experience
  • Lead a development team through breaking down, developing, testing and releasing initiative backlogs as epics and stories
  • Be accountable for support and feedback processes, content, training and tools that ensure user enablement and the future evolution of your platform/product
  • Continuously integrate feedback from metrics, clients, stakeholders and customers into improving delivery and evolving our operating models and agile framework

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years product management experience (some UI design experience is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Extensive experience interacting with senior leadership, stakeholders and delivery partners
  • Practical experience and deep understanding of Agile and Product Management Practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Superior communication skills that allow you to both tell stories, and also communicate complex messages and technical trade-offs
  • Tenacity, a bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully execute on multiple projects simultaneously, at times under extremely tight deadlines.
  • Must be a creative thinker and have a keen interest in ensuring the best possible experience for our users and, ultimately, our clients.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
