The Software Development Engineer Manager will work with technical and business partners to design and maintain

optimal programming and environment solutions. Job activities will involve researching and documenting production

environments, architecture, developing solutions and supporting the tools and processes to gather detailed user

requirements, architecting/developing a solution, and driving strategic planning discussions with technical, business,

and client stakeholders.

* Design, Architecture & Development: Takes on the toughest challenges end-to-end, from low-level design through

implementation and integration, across the full stack (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Redis, DB2,

Postgres).

* Architecture Partnership: Closely partners with the team lead to understand the overall architecture of incoming

efforts and delivers the most complex components.

* Incident Response & Production Stability: Develops and implements incident response strategies for BCAT services,

ensuring efficient resolution and restoration of production systems.

* Mentorship: Mentors mid-level engineers in domain knowledge and technical best practices, fostering innovation

and raising overall team capability.

* Cross-Functional Communication: Manages cross-team dependencies, conveys complex technical concepts to

diverse stakeholders, and aligns teams on delivery priorities.

* Quality & Security: Applies quality and security control practices to ensure integrity, reliability, and compliance of

platform releases through the CI/CD pipeline.

* Requirements & Release Management: Owns requirements management using epics, stories, and backlogs, and

drives release and deployment practices in compliance with safety, security, and quality standards

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
