Organization / Role Description

At Schwab, the Finance and Regulatory Reporting Technology team provides business technology strategy, solutions and support for Schwab's Corporate Controller, Financial Planning & Analysis, Regulatory Reporting and Profitability Analysis functions.

Our team is committed to providing innovative technology solutions to our business partners in alignment with Schwab’s purpose and values, and our Corporate Strategic Plan.

We are looking for a Business System Analyst to create, maintain, support, and improve complex technology operations for our core regulatory reporting platforms, with special emphasis around continuous improvement (CI/CD) of processes by applying modern engineering principles around DevOps.  You will be working with a team of talented technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world “Through Clients' Eyes.”

What You Have

Key Responsibilities

▪ Analyzing and identifying trends and patterns in datasets.
▪ Identifying data anomalies and providing recommendations on additional data needed to support analytics.
▪ Developing and testing Informatica Cloud Workflows and Control-M Schedules.
▪ Analyzing the work at hand and making decisions based on specific objectives.
▪ Performing configuration changes in reporting tools.
▪ Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements

What you have


Required Qualifications

▪ 3+ Years experience leading business systems analysis in Finance or Regulatory Reporting lines of business.
▪ 5+ Years experience IBM Mainframe development (Cobol)
▪ Strong understanding of domain-specific toolsets for data transformation including Informatica Cloud and Control-M
▪ Ability to consolidate, organize, and convey complex problems.  
▪ Clear and concise communication skills.
▪ Experience with SQL data transformation and validation.
▪ Develops risk solutions and coordinates with teams to refine risk management approaches
▪ Refines data analysis approaches to support informed business decision-making
▪ Innovates solutions to enhance data visualization clarity and utility
▪ Actively seeks innovative solutions that refine measurement scales and enhance data-driven decisions
▪ Maximizes the impact of methods and tools that driving business impact with innovative solutions
▪ Creates innovative strategies that amplify business impact through effective product management practices
▪ Delivers solutions that enhance business impact through strategic program management
▪ Enhances business outcomes by partnering with teams to organize and prioritize requirements

Preferred Qualifications

▪ Experience in Broker Dealer Regulatory environments.
▪ Understanding of Financial markets
▪ Understanding of basic accounting
▪ Leverages industry expertise to guide strategy and guide team members in industry and marketplace dynamics
▪ Adapts to customer feedback and implements continuous improvements
▪ Drives growth by sharing expertise and encouraging knowledge, skill, and ability development
▪ Synthesizes stakeholder input for informed well-informed decisions
