The role will be part of Advisor, Wealth & Asset Management Technology (AWAT) which is part of Schwab Technology Services (STS). AWAT is aligned to support the technology needs of Advisor Services, Schwab Asset Management and Wealth & Advice Solutions across the broader Schwab organization. The Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Lead, will be an important member of the Schwab Asset Management (SAM) Technology Team that is responsible for developing solutions that support SAM Investment Risk and Investment Guidelines Platforms. The role will report to the Senior Manager Software Development and Engineering Lead (PL).
What you will do:
The individual in this role will design and develop software and business process solutions based on business requirements using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise. He/she will design and architect new solutions, develop web service APIs, user interface screens, design processes to support the Investment Risk and Guidelines business. Additionally, they will contribute to building an integration testing framework to drive consistency in software development.
He/she will also be a key player in the implementation and integration of modern applications that support the overall business capabilities and build highly scalable cloud applications that enable future business growth. In addition to being a strong technical contributor, part of the role will involve mentoring developers and collaborating across multiple teams and internal organizations.

This role requires an initiative-taking and experienced technical leader with pride of ownership reflected through clean application design, code quality, a disciplined software development approach, and accountability for delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
A university degree. Other professional certifications are a plus.
At least 8 years’ experience in the Asset Management business.
At least 8 years’ experience developing enterprise class applications using .NET and C#, particularly distributed and Cloud applications.
At least 15 years’ full-stack development experience including C#, SQL, HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, etc.
Experience working in Agile Scrum.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
Experience with database design and development (SQL and NoSQL).
Ability to design, code, and debug applications in various software languages.
Experience supporting vendor applications like Eagle Pricing Center, Smart Stream, and NAV Contingency applications.
Optimize software design methodologies through effective leadership and process refinement
Lead the execution of system design strategies for cloud-based environments
