The Insights, Planning and Analytics team (IPA) is a centralized decision support group within the marketing organization focused on optimal marketing spend allocation, A/B testing, journey analytics, causal analytics and management reporting. Our mission is to serve our clients and cultivate their loyalty by understanding their needs and goals, we accomplish this by synthesizing data-driven insights into strategy recommendations for the marketing organization.
This role is an opportunity on the Insights, Planning and Analytics team. As a director, you will lead a multi‑faceted analytics organization composed of senior individual contributors supporting paid media performance, marketing attribution, content and education analytics, website acquisition, and search performance. You will act as a senior analytics advisor to marketing leadership, setting strategic direction and ensuring insights are translated into clear guidance that informs investment decisions, optimization strategies, and long‑term growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Set the vision, measurement strategy, operating model, and standards for digital marketing analytics across paid media performance (including affiliate and paid search channels), marketing attribution, content and education analytics, website acquisition performance, and search engine performance, governing how measurement is applied and decisions are informed to ensure alignment with broader marketing and growth objectives
- Provide executive accountability for the quality, consistency, and impact of analytics used to guide media investment, content strategy, customer acquisition, and conversion optimization
- Lead a multi‑faceted analytics organization composed of senior individual contributors across multiple domains by establishing direction, expectations, and accountability
- Act as a senior analytics advisor to marketing leadership by translating complex, cross‑channel performance data into clear insights, trade‑offs, and strategic recommendations
- Serve as the enterprise steward for marketing attribution frameworks, ensuring consistent interpretation, appropriate use, and alignment across channels and stakeholders
- Establish standards, processes, and best practices that improve analytical rigor, storytelling consistency, and operational efficiency across marketing analytics efforts
- Anticipate changes in media, consumer behavior, and search ecosystems, evolving measurement frameworks and guiding teams toward proactive, forward‑looking insights
What you have:
- Proven experience owning digital marketing analytics strategy across multiple functional areas, including paid media, attribution, content or education experiences, website performance, and search analytics
- A strong strategic mindset, with the ability to define how analytics should be structured, governed, and applied to inform business decisions at scale
- Demonstrated success leading senior individual contributors through influence, expertise, and clear direction rather than formal hierarchical authority
- Deep understanding of digital customer acquisition funnels, conversion behavior, and cross-channel‑ interactions between paid, owned, and organic platforms
- Experience serving as a trusted analytics partner to senior marketing leaders, shaping strategy by clarifying trade‑offs, implications, and risks
- Comfort operating in complex, ambiguous environments and guiding analytics teams through evolving measurement challenges and emerging technologies
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to executive and non‑technical audiences
- A leadership approach that balances analytical rigor with pragmatism, collaboration, and long-term capability building
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, marketing, economics, statistics, data science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in media measurement and attribution
- 3+ years of experience building and/or managing a multi-touch attribution marketing program
- 5+ years of experience in managing analytics teams
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing analytics
- 5+ years of experience with hands‑on experience working with large, complex datasets, including strong SQL proficiency
- 5+ years of experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools)
- 5+ years of experience partnering cross-functionally with marketing, data engineering, product, and technology teams at a senior level
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide decision making‑ through insight rather than authority
- Experience setting analytics strategy and operating models across multiple marketing domains
- Strong working knowledge of paid media measurement, attribution methodologies and website performance analytics
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
