The Insights, Planning and Analytics team (IPA) is a centralized decision support group within the marketing organization focused on optimal marketing spend allocation, A/B testing, journey analytics, causal analytics and management reporting. Our mission is to serve our clients and cultivate their loyalty by understanding their needs and goals, we accomplish this by synthesizing data-driven insights into strategy recommendations for the marketing organization.
This role is an opportunity on the Digital and Client Marketing Analytics team. As a Sr. Manager on the team, you will act as an internal strategy consultant to our paid media partners, support attribution analyses across the paid media team and be the key liaison in managing Schwab’s relationship with our multi-touch attribution vendor.
Key Responsibilities
• Own Schwab’s multi touch attribution (MTA) program end to end, serving as the primary business owner accountable for measurement integrity, analytical rigor, stakeholder alignment, and business impact across paid media channels.
• Serve as the senior liaison between Schwab and external attribution vendors, providing strategic direction, governing day to day engagement, and ensuring solutions evolve in alignment with Schwab’s paid media strategy and regulatory environment.
• Lead cross functional working groups (Paid Media, Martech, Data Science, Privacy, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and external partners) to support contract renewals, annual planning, roadmap prioritization, and investment decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Schwab’s policies, risk standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the vendor and attribution lifecycle, including audit readiness, documentation standards, and adherence to data privacy and governance expectations.
• Own and lead scope definition for new work orders, renewals, and contractual amendments, partnering with Procurement and Legal to ensure clarity of deliverables, success metrics, and value realization.
• Act as the primary analytics advisor to the Managing Director of Paid Media, translating complex attribution and performance insights into clear, actionable recommendations that influence channel strategy, investment allocation, and optimization decisions.
• Own paid search analytics strategy and performance measurement, independently identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and incrementality of spend across platforms.
• Proactively identify, quantify, and recommend paid media optimization opportunities, using attribution, experimentation, and advanced analytics to drive measurable improvements in ROI and business outcomes.
• Lead the evolution of Schwab’s multi touch attribution capabilities, identifying opportunities to enhance models, improve data quality, and integrate new data sources or methodologies in partnership with data science and engineering teams.
• Operate as a senior internal consultant, anticipating business questions, independently determining analytical approaches, and delivering insights that directly enable marketing partners to achieve their goals.
What you have

Required Qualifications
• Advanced working proficiency in SQL, with the ability to translate complex business questions into efficient queries from scratch, validate existing logic, and ensure analytical accuracy without reliance on code generation tools.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics and/or product analytics, with demonstrated ownership of complex analytical problem spaces.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing and optimizing paid media investment, with a strong focus on search and performance channels.
• 3+ years of experience delivering analytical insights to executive audiences, including clear recommendations that inform strategic and financial decisions.
• 3+ years of experience leading cross functional collaboration with external vendors, and internal partners across Legal, Finance, Privacy, Procurement, and Marketing.
• Working knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI), with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build and sustain trusted relationships across data science, data engineering, paid media, privacy, project management, and external vendor teams.
• Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analyses into concise, compelling narratives that drive action.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and passion for uncovering insights in data, paired with a strong customer centric mindset.
• Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives at different stages of maturity, balancing strategic priorities with executional excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in paid media analytics and operations, with deep expertise in search measurement and optimization.
• Experience within the brokerage, financial services industry, and/or Charles Schwab, including familiarity with regulatory, risk, and data governance considerations.
• Hands on experience supporting or owning a multi touch attribution solution, including vendor partnership and ongoing optimization.
• Strong understanding of attribution data architecture, with experience analyzing underlying datasets and partnering with technical teams on model design and improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to evolve attribution methodologies, incorporating new data sources, technologies, or analytical approaches to improve decision quality.
• Self directed, resilient leader who thrives in a fast paced, ambiguous environment and operates with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
• Proven influential consultant, capable of partnering cross functionally and cross enterprise, and effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior and executive leadership.
