Schwab Private Wealth Services (SPWS) provides a broad range of Operational technical expertise and support to our high-net-worth clients.  Our mission is to provide prompt, thorough, and complete service through collaborative partnerships with Partner Support, Investor Services, and the Accommodations groups.  Additionally, we provide work-item escalation support to these groups in responses from client and field inquiries. We’re searching for experienced, team-focused individuals to own prioritized work items pertaining to households with wealth over 10 million dollars at Charles Schwab.

As a Senior Specialist, you will belong to a multi-facet team that provides white-glove client service including hotline phone support through our EDGE call behaviors as well as processing time sensitive high risk client transactions. This is a fast paced, detail-oriented, high volume, and deadline-driven environment requiring the ability to build and foster relationships across the firm to be successful. In addition to a background in Brokerage/Banking Operations, the ideal candidate should possess the ability to work all move money functions including hotline calls with a specific focus on segmented business. 

What you'll do:

  • Provide exceptional prompt and thorough service to our ultra-high net worth client by ensuring thorough and proactive solutions to their work items.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy, assess risk, and make sound business judgement decisions.
  • Spend the amount of time needed to complete items by working with phone, email, and chat channels.
  • Effectively switch gears throughout the day to assist with meeting critical cut-off times or high-volume processing.
  • Serve as an advisor/mentor for associates and partners to the department to assist with complex issues, escalations, and understanding of the day’s priorities.
  • Partner with management to identify, monitor and control their existing and emerging risks.
  • Provide advice and guidance to business managers regarding associate usage of escalation pathways.

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Banking Operations systems required.
  • Proficient in at least three banking operations processes required
  • Specific, operational group, experience with a track record of increasing responsibility

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • The ability to provide excellent customer service on inbound and outbound calls and via written communication, while also building and sustaining positive relationships with internal business partners.
  • Ability to work as a member of a project team and cultivate a strong working relationship with partners
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to anticipate issues and to design appropriate solutions
  • A track record of providing sound guidance to business partners, peers, and leadership
  • Self-motivation, able to work independently to bring complex cases to conclusion
  • Experience working with multiple systems in a dual monitor environment, and intermediate computer skills (including Microsoft Office products) are required.
