The Retail Web Technology (RWT) organization leads the development and maintenance of Schwab's premier digital platform for retail clients - individual investors just like you.

Our team is seeking a talented Software Engineer Senior, who embraces being technical leader and has a real passion for using state of the art web technologies to build compelling interactive web applications. As our Software Developer Senior, you will need to be a self-starter who partners well with others. This role is all about getting the job done, so you have a can/will do mentality about all tasks associated with getting phenomenal code out the door. What you have:

· An exacting attention to detail and the talent and enthusiasm for producing highly usable and scalable web software solutions using advanced development technologies

· Proven technical and business communication skills at various organizational levels

· Confidence solving problems in a dynamic customer-focused team environment that uses the newest technologies and techniques

· A commitment to regularly improving your technical and professional skills, learning emerging technologies and growing as valued team member

· BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

· 8+ years of full-stack web development experience, with an emphasis on front-end development

· Skill with C#/.NET Core development

· Confidence using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

· Experience with Angular, TypeScript, and client side MV* frameworks

· Responsive Design and Single Page Applications (SPA) expertise

· Familiarity with unit testing patterns (TDD/BDD) and methodologies

· Experience with asynchronous messaging and event-driven systems (e.g., Apache Kafka or similar queue-based technologies.

· Application performance evaluation and tuning skills

· Web Accessibility experience

· Proficiency in creating and consuming RESTful services

· Knowledge of authorization frameworks (e.g., OAuth 2, SAML, JWT)

· Understanding of Agile software development principles, including experience participating in a Scrum-based delivery team
