The Marketing Insights, Planning, and Analytics group (IPA) supports multiple marketing teams at
Schwab through data driven insights and recommendations. Our mission is to help marketing better
understand the needs and behaviors of our prospects and clients through statistical analysis, reporting,
data management, and advanced analytics.


This role is part of the Marketing Effectiveness team, a horizontal function supporting multiple teams
within the marketing organization. The team is focused on substantively driving business growth and
deepening client relationships through analytics, measurable impact, and actionable insights. We are

The Senior Specialist of Marketing Effectiveness will bring intellectual curiosity, analytical prowess and
exceptional collaborative and communications skills to drive greater effectiveness and efficiency from
our marketing initiatives. You will work closely with partners across marketing, analytics, and technology
to bring data to life though effective storytelling and continuous improvement of analytical capabilities.


What you will do:
• Deliver data driven insights through analyzing marketing performance to uncover actionable
insights that improve campaign effectiveness, efficiency, and overall business outcomes.
• Support test and learn approach by helping to design and execute various testing strategies to
enable disciplined measurement.
• Translate data findings into clear, compelling narratives that connect insights to business
objectives and support decision making.
• Structure, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources to support analytics and
reporting. Build and maintain reusable data assets for the team.
• Design and develop reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into key metrics and trends.
• Work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete analytics project lifecycle
including data extraction/preparation, analysis, and documentation of results.

Classification: Schwab Internal• Partner with marketing, analytics, and technology teams to understand needs, align on
priorities, and deliver integrated solutions across teams.
• Help drive scale and efficiency for the team through proactively identifying opportunities for
automation, capability improvements, and AI integration.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through strong quality control practices, including
governance and documentation.

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a quantitative or data focused field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science,
Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering or related discipline)
• 2+ years experience in marketing analytics, data analytics, and experience in the Marketing Rotational Program
• Familiarity with at least one programming language for data analysis (SQL, SAS, Python, R, or
equivalent)
• Foundational understanding of testing methodologies including A/B, test and control, and
experimental design
• Experience building reports and dashboards using visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
• Ability to work with large transactional databases across multiple platforms (Google Cloud Data
Warehouse a plus)
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve problems. Ability to “tell a story” with
data.
• Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative environment
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to successfully build long-term
relationships with colleagues and business partners
• Understanding of how analytics supports a large organization including being able to
successfully articulate the linkage between business decisions, business objectives, and
analytical approaches & findings
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and analytical techniques as required
• Financial services experience a plus

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
