We are looking for a Senior Software full stack developer to join the digital platform ROAR, to build customer facing interactive web applications. You must see yourself as high energy and be someone who seeks out engagement with team members. You must be able to coach others as well as be open to receiving coaching. Schwab is a highly collaborative environment, so working well with others is a must. The role requires a high level of responsibility coupled with a support structure necessary for development
What you’ll do:
Analyze, design, program, debug, configure and modify software systems and/or new products used in local, cloud, networked, mobile or Internet-related technology; code may be used in commercial and/or end-user applications
Use programming languages and technologies to write code, perform testing, log, and debug applications, all with the goal of achieving Maintainability, Availability, Scalability, and Security
Pursue strong engineering practices through a culture of continuous improvement
Complete documentation for tech specs
Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
Follow the principles of agile and focus on incremental delivery
May lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams
Act as a mentor to junior staff members
Actively participate in product and technology focused social and learning events
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of full stack application development experience and experience mentoring/assisting junior team developers on team
Proven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using:
Front End Technologies/Concepts: NET, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, Sync/ASync services
Back End Technologies/Concepts: .NET, .NET core, C# and RESTful API design, Micro-Services
Passion for enterprise-level agile development
Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies
Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools
Experience with Atlassian tool suite is strongly preferred: JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
Have a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams
Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations
BS or higher in computer science or related technical field
