As a Senior Appian Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving ComplianceOne, a mission‑critical, highly visible application that supports firm compliance through business process automation and system integrations. You’ll collaborate closely with technology and business partners to deliver solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory requirements. 


Key responsibilities include: 

  • Design, build, enhance, demonstrate, and deploy Appian-based solutions that support business and regulatory needs.
  • Partner with analysts, product owners, quality engineers, and business stakeholders to refine requirements, validate solution design, and support production environments. 
  • Apply deep knowledge of the Appian platform, including emerging capabilities and AI‑enabled features, to inform solution design and long‑term technology strategy.
  • Translate business processes and requirements into effective workflows, data models, and integrations.
  • Design and maintain application architecture, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability. 
  • Develop and support integrations using APIs and related technologies.
  • Monitor application health, identify risks, and proactively address stability or performance issues. 
  • Coordinate development work with release schedules and project milestones using Agile practices. 

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have: 


Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.  
  • 7+ years of experience building and delivering Appian-based software solutions.  
  • 5+ years of experience designing end‑to‑end Appian application architectures.  
  • Experience developing and supporting solutions in Appian Cloud environments.
  • Experience conducting Appian health checks and identifying application risks.  
  • Experience translating business and technical requirements into functional prototypes and production-ready solutions.  
  • Experience designing data schemas and application data models.  
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.  
  • Experience developing system integrations using APIs.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments. 



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise robotic process automation tools such as Appian RPA or UIPath 
  • Experience using advanced Appian capabilities, including Process HQ, Agentic AI, or Data Fabric 
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, including C# 
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with the Microsoft SQL Server platform 
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices
  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or Bamboo to support Agile delivery 



In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
