This role requires authoritative leadership, rapid decision-making, disciplined execution, and the ability to coordinate effectively across technology, business, and vendor stakeholders during time-sensitive events.
Business Need: The growing complexity of enterprise incidents and the increasing reliance on interconnected internal and third-party vendor solutions require senior-level incident leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise incident command during high-severity and cross-organizational technology incidents.
- Coordinate response efforts across technology teams, business stakeholders, external partners, and senior leadership.
- Ensure consistent application of incident management practices, operational workflows, and communication standards.
- Provide oversight for enterprise communication channels, including Techline Chat, during active incidents.
- Drive clear, timely, and accurate communication throughout incident response, stabilization, and recovery.
- Reinforce disciplined response behaviors and develop incident leadership capability across teams.
- Translate lessons learned into improved practices, automation opportunities, and resiliency enhancements.
- Support development, socialization, implementation, and adoption of KBT order-of-recovery playbooks.
- Advance continuous improvement efforts that reduce operational risk, improve recovery outcomes, and strengthen enterprise resiliency.
Expected Impact: This role is accountable for delivering disciplined, repeatable incident execution that minimizes operational and reputational risk, improves recovery consistency, and strengthens operational stability across the enterprise. By establishing this role at the GL60 level, the organization ensures the authority and accountability needed to lead significant technology events, engage senior leadership effectively, and drive continuous improvement in incident response and resiliency outcomes.
