An architect would be energized by Otto as a rare greenfield opportunity to shape foundational patterns and architectural standards from day one, rather than retrofitting a legacy system. They'd own high-leverage decisions on resilience, security, and scalability that ripple across every rep technology platform at Schwab. The role blends deep technical design with real business impact in a regulated, high-stakes domain—and offers the chance to define the paved road that other teams build on for years to come.

Serves as a senior technology leader responsible for defining architecture strategy related to Client Central Reimagined platform, guiding modernization efforts, influencing enterprise technology direction, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions. The role typically works across multiple teams, domains, and stakeholder groups while providing technical leadership and governance.

Required Qualifications

Define and communicate architecture vision, strategy, and target-state roadmaps.
Develop architecture patterns, standards, and reference implementations.
Lead architecture governance and design reviews.
Guide engineering teams on solution design and implementation.
Collaborate with architects, product owners, business leaders, and engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions.
Drive modernization initiatives, cloud adoption, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
Mentor senior engineers, architects, and technical leads.
Translate technical strategies into business outcomes for executive audiences.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10–15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
Significant experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise solutions.
Expertise in cloud platforms, application integration, data architecture, and modern software development practices.
Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and drive strategic technology decisions

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
