About the team:

Charles Schwab’s Digital Assets business unit is building a crypto offering for retail clients alongside internal digital asset capabilities. This offering and associated capabilities will complement and integrate with the existing extensive range of products at Schwab, including trading platforms and research and analysis tools, tradeable products, award-winning educational resources, a financial news and content network, and service and relationships tailored to trader clients’ needs.

Within Digital Assets (hereafter DA), this opening reports to the Product Team that is accountable for various crypto client experiences and services including account enrollment, money movement, crypto trading, crypto transfers, and more.

Job summary:

The Director, Digital Assets Strategy Execution will report to the Managing Director, Digital Assets Product Management and lead efforts to help Digital Assets execute on its strategic initiatives:

  • Lead project portfolio planning activities for DA, including annual funding and project planning process. Ensure project portfolio is aligned with DA business strategy, with appropriate cross-business alignment and prioritization
  • Manage team of business program/project managers to support DA-business lead initiatives and ensure consistent project management principles and process are being applied across DA initiatives and align with firmwide project execution processes and governance
  • Serve as primary liaison with operations, digital, finance, legal, compliance technology partners to ensure priorities are met, progress is maintained, and groups are aligned on prioritization and approach to work when there are alternatives that will impact the trading client experience
  • Run governance structure across business, operations, digital, and technology partners via DA Executive Steering Committee, Trading Infrastructure Program (TIP Working Group & Snr. TIP), and more.
  • Build relationships with a wide range of business partners, develop a deep understanding of the DA business, and uniquely position yourself as an invaluable subject matter authority

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years in the Financial Services industry with 5+ years’ experience in strategy, planning, program/project management
  • Experience with supporting digital asset product development across key feature categories like trading, transfers, and more
  • Experience mentoring / coaching a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences Classification: Schwab Internal
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; drive to decisions and follow through with strategic execution
  • Demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to executive audiences
  • Analyzes issues objectively, thinking through all potential connections and impacts and capitalizes on opportunities to operate more efficiently and improve performance
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and influencing skills, especially in cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail, sense of urgency, and proactiveness
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Expert user of PowerPoint and Excel
  • Personally and professionally aligned with Schwab’s vision and values, and a deep interest in financial services

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
