​​The Software Engineer will perform complex software design tasks and technical analysis on the new generation, highly scalable and highly performant order management system, which drives significant revenue for Schwab. Specifically, this role will act as an expert on the order management system server-side modules. In addition, they will also provide mentorship for more junior developers, liaise with developers from other teams, and ensure development practices are in line with company best practices and policies.​

​​Responsible for leading development of features and bugs on Java-based risk and order management platforms.  Full SDLC, including working with stakeholders and other development teams.
Responsible for development and improvement of trading-related risk and margin calculations, including working with and assisting quantitative analysts and other developers
Assists with supporting the ngOMS order management system in production, investigating issues and working with support team
Applies business intelligence and industry insights to support decision making
Performs product design & troubleshooting exercises of extremely high complexity which require extensive research and analysis.​
