As an Alternative Investment Custody Services Senior Specialist at Charles Schwab, you will support the firm's mission, vision, and values by delivering exceptional service and operational excellence across a variety of alternative investment asset servicing functions. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship management skills to support clients, business partners, and key stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Perform reconciliation and research of Alternative Investment positions and related transactions.
  • Support the pricing and valuation of Alternative Investments, including the review, validation, and maintenance of fair market values and pricing data to ensure accurate client reporting and operational processing.
  • Identify, research, and resolve operational issues while ensuring timely escalation of risks and concerns.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to obtain information, resolve issues, and drive positive outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across business groups, vendors, fund administrators, and clients.
  • Deliver outstanding service that enhances the client experience and strengthens client loyalty.
  • Contribute to process improvements, risk mitigation efforts, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support organizational initiatives while fostering a culture aligned with Schwab's mission, vision, and values.

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience within the securities, brokerage, financial services, or related industry.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and escalate issues through appropriate channels.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in managing time-sensitive issues while maintaining accuracy and service quality.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Alternative Investments and other Non-Standard Assets.
  • Experience supporting asset servicing, custody, reconciliation, or investment operations functions.
  • Knowledge of operational risk management practices and controls.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
