We are responsible for asset servicing Alternative Investments including Trading, Asset Transfers, Reconciliation, Asset Review, and Corporate Actions. What you’re good at:
As an Alternative Investment Sr. Specialist, you will leverage your passion, enthusiasm, and operational experience to provide the highest quality support to our clients, internal, and external business partners. Initially, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of transfer requests for Alternative Investment securities by our clients. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and entering these requests for Alternative Investment securities. Individuals will be team-oriented, self-motivated and goal driven, able to multi-task, realize the importance of follow through, and have great time management skills.
Key responsibilities may include:
Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a diverse work environment
Take initiative to perform daily tasks with minimal supervision
Serve as a point of contact and helpful resource for colleagues across Schwab
Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders via email and telephone
Proactively share ideas for process improvement and lead the implementation of those ideas
Become a subject matter expert (SME) in multiple functions and assist in training others
Participate in team and department meetings, providing relevant information about department issues or concerns
Provide resolution steps for Alternative Investment requests not in good order
Demonstrate high productivity and the ability to research complex issues
What you have
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in an operations role
2+ years of serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), training team members, and coordinating workflows with teams across the department.
Preferred Qualifications:
Alternative Investment or Transfer experience
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
FINRA Series 99 or 7 and 63 licenses preferred
Working knowledge of Alternative Investments or Transfer systems preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and Word
Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to handle client escalations
Ability to analyze issues and develop problem solving methodology with minimal guidance
Demonstrated skills related to individual case/workload management
Must be team-oriented, great at problem solving, able to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
