Reference Data Platform Strategy & Support provides comprehensive, flexible, and enterprise-wide market reference data platforms to meet the needs of the firm’s product and service offerings. Our goal is to improve the competitive position of the firm, reduce risks and cost, and improve client experience and operational efficiency; deliver scalable securities and fundamental data and platform solutions; source and distribute the highest quality data; leverage best practices of data quality control, both internally and externally, to ensure best client experience and mitigated risk to Schwab; and to be a trusted partner to domains and stakeholders.
The Sr Specialist, as a member of the Reference Data Consumer Management team, will serve as the primary point of contact for 80+ downstream application teams onboarding to the security master and fundamental data platforms. This role is relationship-centric and requires building trust with business and technology partners, establishing a regular engagement cadence, and guiding stakeholders through onboarding and governance from intake through go-live. Responsibilities include tracking and initiating consumer migrations; facilitating working sessions with each application team; partnering to define business and data requirements; aligning priorities with product owners and technology; proactively communicating status, risks, and decisions; and coordinating UAT/production parallels to ensure delivered data meets client needs. This position includes active engagement with senior leaders and cross-functional partners. Expertise in analyzing data is required.
What you have

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Financial Services Security Reference Data domain and/or Trading Lifecycle (trading, middle office, settlement and reporting)
- 1-2 years project management experience in driving projects to completion
- Competence in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated relationship management experience, including the ability to build trust, influence without authority, and lead a regular meeting cadence with internal partners
- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to partner across the enterprise within cross-functional teams to align stakeholders and drive outcomes
- Strong data analytic skills and the ability to effectively distill a varied set of inputs to drive decisions and define requirements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages for technical and non-technical audiences and present effectively to senior leaders
- Ability to multitask through multiple projects at one time
- General knowledge of most product security types
- Familiarity using SQL to extract and analyze data highly preferred
- An undergraduate degree is preferred
- Security licenses including series 7 preferred
