Schwab Private Wealth Services (SPWS) delivers specialized operational expertise and support to ultra-high net-worth clients. Our mission is to provide prompt, thorough, and tailored service by collaborating closely with Partner Support, Investor Services, and Internal Accommodations teams. We are committed to exceeding the expectations of households with assets exceeding $10 million at Charles Schwab.
As a Senior Specialist, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for estate services, ensuring that our ultra-high-net-worth clients receive exceptional, customized solutions. You will play a pivotal role in managing complex work items, supporting internal partners, and driving operational excellence across the estate services segment.
What you'll do:
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and proactive service to ultra-high-net-worth clients, addressing their estate services needs with customized solutions.
- Assess risk, maintain a high degree of accuracy, and exercise sound business judgment in all client interactions.
- Utilize multiple communication channels—including phone, email, chat, and digital resources—to provide a seamless and personalized client experience.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, assisting with critical cut-off times and high-volume processing as needed.
- Serve as an advisor and mentor to associates and partners, assisting with complex issues, escalations, and daily priorities.
- Collaborate with management to identify, monitor, and mitigate existing and emerging risks.
- Provide guidance to business managers on escalation pathways and best practices for issue resolution.
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience in estate services, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility and delivering exceptional client service.
- Thorough understanding of estate planning concepts, including trust structures and power of attorney documents, and experience assisting clients with implementing these plans at Schwab.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with ultra-high-net-worth or high-net-worth clients and internal business partners is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and design effective solutions.
- Series 7 and 63/65 licenses preferred.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and consultative approach to building and strengthening client relationships.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service across inbound/outbound calls and written communications, while fostering positive relationships with internal partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-site team, cultivating strong working relationships.
- Experience providing sound guidance to business partners, peers, and leadership.
