Position Summary
The Employee Services Specialist supports Schwab employees and their family members with their personal brokerage and retirement accounts, delivering high-quality, compliant service in a specialized servicing environment.
This role is responsible for handling inbound client inquiries, supporting account servicing and maintenance requests, conducting employee consultations, identifying client needs, and managing operational workflows. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex account scenarios while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
The Employee Services Specialist serves as a trusted resource for employee clients and plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and personalized service experiences. This position offers broad exposure to employee account servicing, operational processes, and end-to-end case management within a highly visible area of the firm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide service and support to Schwab employees and their family members regarding brokerage and retirement accounts.
- Handle inbound calls and account servicing inquiries in a professional, accurate, and compliant manner.
- Conduct New Employee Consultations (NECs) and educate employees on available account resources and services.
- Process account maintenance requests and operational workflows with a high degree of accuracy.
- Manage client cases from initiation through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and ownership.
- Identify opportunities to connect clients with additional products, services, or resources through lead generation and referrals.
- Partner with internal business groups to resolve complex servicing issues and client requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to employee account information and adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Support departmental initiatives, process improvements, and special projects as assigned.

What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience.
- Active and valid Series 7 & 63 licenses.
- 2+ years’ experience in a direct client facing role.
- Basic understanding of brokerage regulations and rules that govern client accounts.
- Must be able to develop and maintain good cross enterprise working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience handling client concerns and issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to manage multiple client situations, needs, and inquiries simultaneously.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team, and exercise sound judgment.
- Familiarity with brokerage, retirement, and account servicing concepts preferred.
- Series 9/10 is a plus.
