As a Trader Service Chat Sr. Specialist, you'll leverage your trading expertise and passion for client service to support active trader clients through both chat and trade desk interactions. Acting as a trusted resource on equities, options, margin, and trading platforms, you'll help clients navigate market opportunities while delivering an exceptional service experience. Your ability to communicate complex trading concepts clearly and accurately will contribute to Schwab's reputation as one of the most trusted firms in the industry.

What you have

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of challenging the status quo, this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Series 7 and 63 licenses required  
• 1-2 years of experience in Client Service, Financial Services and/or Brokerage Services
• General knowledge of the securities industry, including equities, options, and trading concepts
• Previous experience supporting clients through a trade desk, trading phone line, or chat-based environment
• Prior experience utilizing Schwab systems and supporting trade-related activities
• Strong professionalism, integrity, and ethical decision-making skills
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
• Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently educate and support clients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years of experience in trading, brokerage, or financial services
• Previous experience servicing active trader clients within an online brokerage environment
• Advanced knowledge of: Equity Trading, Equity & Index Options, Regulation T (Reg T) Margin, Intraday Margin, Thinkorswim platforms (web, desktop, and mobile)
• Proficient knowledge of: Complex Options Strategies, Options Greeks, Technical Analysis, Futures, Foreign Exchange (Forex), Portfolio Management
• Introductory knowledge of: Options on Futures, Portfolio Margin
• Strong analytical, communication, and client service skills with the ability to manage risk, solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
