As a Sr. Specialist, Client Account Operations, you would be responsible for facilitating the annuity application process from the time of application submission through contract issuance. Annuity Operations collaborates with and supports numerous business partners including Sales and the Branch network to improve the overall client experience.  Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to provide superior customer service to clients and sales partners as you shepherd annuity applications from client signature to contract issue
  • Develop deep relationships within the firm; being an advocate for the annuity product line
  • Goal setting / goal tracking / performance that drives meaningful results
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Staying highly motivated and being a self-starter
  • Problem solving and collaborating with multiple levels in the organization

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of corresponding work experience (previous annuity operations experience preferred, but not required)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to obtain desired results
  • Relationship building skills, including the ability to build consensus with key partners, work effectively in a cross-functional/highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of the organization
  • Problem solver vs. problem identifier
  • Must possess effective time management & interpersonal skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic with a high level of integrity
  • An aptitude and willingness for learning Schwab’s annuity suite of products
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with peers and other teams in a proactive and consultative manner
  • Possess a collaborative work style with demonstrated success in a team environment
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively mitigate risk and adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
