Charles Schwab's Digital Retail team builds key experiences for retail clients and maintains digital channels for them to build their wealth and manage their financial outcomes. We work, think and approach problems differently than your traditional financial services firm, and we drive to change both how Schwab operates and how the industry serves investors and advisors. We collaborate across user experience, product, client service, operations and technology teams to build products clients love. In this role, you will drive the creation, refinement, and evolution of experience requirements for retail digital channels and ensure execution of these requirements.

We are looking for a Product Manager who is well versed in agile transformation, product development, and business planning to help drive and contribute to the digital team and help us craft the future Schwab Digital.

What you’re good at:

  • Partners with business owners to intake enhancement requests, document impact, and define and track detailed requirements
  • Creating initiative epics, aligning on business priority, and communicating progress updates to stakeholders
  • A high degree of attention to detail, strong organization skills, ability to adapt to changing business conditions, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with urgency, meeting required deadlines
  • Leads requirement writing using iterative Agile methodology in JIRA, defining acceptance criteria, partnering with technology, attending scrum meetings, and implementing technical enhancements
  • Collaborates with technology on iteration planning and release planning.
  • Performs technical certifications during internal and external production releases, outside of regular business hours
  • Works with business partners to understand business processes, process flows, business needs and analyze pain points, identify viable solutions, and ultimately implement enhancements.
  • Independently manages and coordinates project tasks, leads analysis interviews, owns facilitation of discussions, and communications with impacted areas regarding project
  • Investigates and validates reported issues to assess risk and exposure and ultimately provide input on prioritization
  • Training business users on new product features
  • Ability to identify and define problems, extract key information from data and develop workable solutions for the problems identified to test and verify the cause of the problem and develop solutions to resolve the problems identified.

What you have


  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with internal customers; experience and comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership teams complex messages, trade-offs
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to track multiple project deliverables with minimal direction
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization
  • Highly developed communication and presentations skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts and issues to executive teams
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally with technology, service, marketing and product teams to manage the entire lifecycle of a digital platform
  • A high degree of attention to detail, strong organization skills, ability to adapt to changing business conditions, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with urgency, meeting required deadlines
  • Experience in business requirement gathering and documentation
  • Ability to effectively manage and lead projects within a cross functional project team (internal and external technology, operations, product, and business organizations)
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience working closely with product and technology partners.
  • Agile training and knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is required
  • Good understanding and/or experience with financial services products and regulations
